Slate Belt Museum held its annual very well attended Veterans Day observance ceremony on Nov 11, 2025. The event featured remarks from State Rep. Anne Flood, UMBT Supervisor John Birmingham, UMBT Auditor Charles Baltic, and former UMBT official and veteran Ron Angle.  The benediction was given by Reverend  John H. Heinshon of the Community Presbyterian Church of Mt. Bethel. The event was headlined with a presentation by renowned historical military author Rebecca Price Janney, and also featured the annual ringing of the historic Mount Bethel Presbyterian church bell.
